Titled 'Back to Front,' this installation comprises imposing granite structures that respond in real-time to shifting light levels in the park. As people traverse the park and the sun's position changes, dynamic shadows are cast onto the monoliths by the moving trees. The artwork, attuned to these shadows, transfers them through the granite structure's depth, revealing animated silhouettes on the opposite side. Controlled by an array of LED lights with glass lenses embedded in the stone for diffusion, the intention is to offer pedestrians an engaging and dynamic experience that mirrors the evolving weather patterns enveloping the city.
