'Strands' was the result of Site Gallery and British Council Sponsored Artist Exchange between Busan, South Korea and Sheffield, UK.
‘Strands’ draws inspiration from the busy streets, workshops and the fishing industry found on the port side in Yeongdo. The form is reminiscent of strands of a fishing net moving through the water gracefully. When illuminated at night ‘Strands’ dynamic lighting patterns represent the constant movement of boats and people throughout Kangkangee Arts Village throughout the day.
